He founded, scaled, and sold Sellick Partnership, one of the UK’s largest, most respected and successful recruitment business before starting MJS Partnership.

TIMELINE

2002

Sellick partnership is founded in Manchester as a specialist professional services recruiter. It records £1m turnover in it’s first full year trading.


2009

Launched Manchester Professionals Cricket League to raise money for The Lord’s Taverners and St Ann’s Hospice, and Manchester Professionals Football League the following year.


2014

Is recognised by London Stock Exchange Group in ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ list (and again in 2016). Wins ISO 9001 - 2015 accreditation.


2017

Sellick Partnership celebrates 15th anniversary and has a headcount of 80 people across seven UK offices.


2019

£48m turnover and majority share of Sellick Partnership sold to Samsic, one of Europe’s largest soft services providers.


2023

£114m turnover and Sellick Partnership ranked #1 in the ‘Best Workplaces for Women’ list by Great Place to Work UK.

2004

Turnover reaches £6m, with offices in Belfast and Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Sellick Partnerships continues to expand opening further offices in Liverpool and Leeds. By 2008 Sellick Partnerships has 6 office sites across the UK.


2011

Recorded an £11m turnover which built to a turnover in excess of £20m by 2013. The company achieved the coveted Investors In People Silver Standard award.


2015

Turnover breaks £30m and charity fundraising hits £60,000.


2018

Achieves highly prestigious Investors In People Gold Standard recognition. Turnover reaches £42m.


2020

Fundraising breaks £100,000. By 2022 turnover has reached £95m.


2024

Jo exits Sellick Partnership and founds MJS Partnership.


2025

MJS Partnership experiences their first birthday whilst celebrating successful with projects with companies including Wallacespace.
